(SYK) has become the first fire door in China to receive UL China Mark certification by passing the one-hour fire resistance test and water impact test.
NORTHBROOK, Illinois, Oct. 14, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- UL Solutions, a global leader in applied safety sciences, today announced that Shanghai Yukui Construction Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd.'s (SYK) wood fire doors have been awarded the UL China Mark certification in China, making them the first fire doors to receive the ULChina Mark.
The ULChina Mark program for fire doors helps prove that fire doors comply with China's mandatory product standard GB 12955-2008 for fire door products.
SYK's fire doors are certified as compliant with China's GB 12955-2008 standard, which includes type testing, factory inspection, evaluation and review, as well as routine inspections and UL follow-up services. This service is designed to verify that the product continues to be manufactured in the manner described in the initial certification results.The UL Solutions Built Environment team performed the relevant testing at the Shanghai Research Institute of Building Sciences (SRIBS).
